I am Jason Bonner and I am running for Levy Court to make common sense changes for the citizens of Kent County Delaware.

- I believe that if land owners want to use their land to develop farms, create solar energy options, or expand on a home, county government should not stand in the way.

- Permits should not be a guessing game. Technology exists that can help Kent County standardize the permitting process and eliminate frustration for community members. I would like to introduce an online process that will simplify and expedite permit applications.

- Promoting small business growth is the lifeblood of economic development in Kent County. I have plans to encourage growth by easing zoning regulations and hurdles. Many potential business owners are discouraged from starting a business in Kent County due to bureaucratic obstacles. I plan to simplify the process, increase transparency for all, and encourage businesses to open shop in Kent County.

About Jason Bonner
Jason is a Pittsburgh native, but has resided in Kent County for sixteen years. He has been a teacher for over twenty years and is currently the Supervisor of Transportation for the Caesar Rodney School District. Jason has received a Master's Degree in Educational Technology as well as a Doctorate Degree in Leadership from Wilmington University. Between teaching and transportation, Jason has served the Kent County community with pride while making many connections to businesses, organizations,
and families.
Outside of work, Jason has coached several sports at POLYTECH and volunteers at Fifer Farms. He has been married to his wife, Amy, for twenty years and they have two sons that attend Caesar Rodney Schools. Jason enjoys DIY projects, running, cycling, and SCUBA diving whenever possible.
As a father, teacher, community member, and small business owner, Jason sees opportunities for change in Kent County government and wants to be a part of the solution. While he is new to campaigns and he has never run for an office, he has seen first hand where processes and policies have hindered small business growth and frustrated tax payers. Jason is a registered Republican and in January of 2022 he decided to run for Kent County Levy Court so he can make a positive impact on the way the
county does business.
